Toyota aims high with flying car patent

Car company Toyota has filed a patent for an “aerocar” at the US Patent and Trademark Office.
Toyota filed its patent on December 19, 2014, but it was only made public on last month.
The patent covers a “shape morphing fuselage” and a method of transitioning an “aerocar” from land mode to flight mode. It also covers a “deployment and retraction of wings”, which means the wings will be out of sight when not in flight.
A Slovakian company called AeroMobil also has plans to launch its “flying roadster”, called AeroMobil, in 2017, according to Forbes.
