The 8th and 9th session of national workshop on the ‘Art and Practice of Leadership’ (APL) has successfully held in Dhaka. Hosted by Bangladesh Youth Leadership Center (BYLC), the three-day workshop was held in two sessions, dated December 26-28, 2015 and January 2-4, 2016 respectively.
Exclusively designed for junior and senior university students, the APL workshops focused on enhancing leadership, problem solving, teamwork, and communication skills. The workshop also consisted of career panels with leading dignitaries from the public, private, and non-profit sectors where the leaders shared their personal leadership and career journeys.
Pavel Hoq, Chief Operating Officer, Grameen Intel Social Business Limited, Devabrata Chakraborty, Director, Governance Innovation Unit, Prime Minister’s Office, and Farzana Kashfi, Senior Manager, BRAC, graced the APL 8 career panel. APL 9 career panels were honored by Ivdad Ahmed Khan Mojlish, Co-Founder and Managing Director, LightCastle Partners, Ishrat Hossain, Head of New Media, UNDP, and Asif Iqbal, Deputy Director, Bangladesh Bank. Bangladesh Bank acted as the chief promoter in the recently concluded APL workshop sessions.
Out of an outstanding 500 applications, a total of 120 promising young minds were selected from all over the country to participate at the recent APL workshop sessions. David Hasanat, Chairman, Viyellatex, and Mohammad Naushad Ali Chowdhury, Executive Director, Bangladesh Bank, graced the certificate giving ceremony at the APL 8 and APL 9 session respectively.
